Orchids: A World of Beauty

Orchids: A World of Beauty In-Person

Orchids are plants that have a bad reputation. While they are beautiful most believe they are “divas” and are difficult to care for. This program will present you with everything you need to know about orchids from the different types of orchids to their history and their anatomy and most importantly how to care for them. After you have listened to this presentation you will immediately shop for an orchid and learn how much fun it is to grow them. Warning! Growing orchids can become an addiction.

Patricia F. Schleig has been a certified Master Gardener for about 10 years beginning with her experiences in North Carolina and transferring her knowledge to New Jersey when her family moved back home to Monmouth County. She has always loved gardening and getting her hands dirty; She finds great joy in growing things and in sharing her love of gardening with others. In her working life, she was an educator and Elementary School Principal. She always liked to work with others and to cultivate things, either the minds of developing young children or plants from seeds. Both endeavors are rewarding and quite fulfilling. Life is Good.
