"I Don't Want to Go Home": An Oral History of the Stone Pony in Asbury Park

"I Don't Want to Go Home": An Oral History of the Stone Pony in Asbury Park In-Person

Nick Corasaniti, New York Times reporter and local author, will speak about his book, I Don't Want to Go Home, an oral history of The Stone Pony and the rise, fall, and rebirth of Asbury Park. The Stone Pony has been the anchor of the Asbury music scene since opening in 1974. Locals like Bruce Springsteen, Southside Johnny and Steve Van Zandt helped put the Pony on the map, while today’s top artists and rising stars continue building a musical legacy. A question and answer session, as well as book signing will follow the program.
