Exhibit at the Eastern Branch Library: Showcasing Shrewsbury's Centennial 1926-2026 In-Person

On exhibit through June 20th, 2026 at the Eastern Branch Library

Celebrating the Borough of Shrewsbury’s 100th year of incorporation (May 11,1926), the Shrewsbury Historical Society has partnered with the Monmouth County Library Eastern Branch—Shrewsbury, for a display of an assortment of photographs, memorabilia and ephemeral highlighting the significance of Shrewsbury.  The display cases at the entrance to the library have been stocked with an assortment of items to spark the interest of local citizens and patrons of the library.  Items displayed highlight the history of Shrewsbury as it transitions over the past Century from a farming community, through the expansion as a significant residential community, and today recognized as a bustling business corridor in Monmouth County.  The exhibit has been posted to remain for the entire month of May.  Be sure to view the exhibit as visitors will recognize the significant and impact of the items displayed.
